Canadian Teens Launch Lego Man Into Space
When I was 17 the pinnacle of my scientific success was covering my hand in Elmer's glue and peeling the dried glue off in one complete sheet. I made a handprint. That was rad. But two Canadian teens, have done something even cooler. Like a billion times more cooler. They sent a Lego man into space. That's one small step for Lego man, one giant leap for nerdkind.
What up y'all? I'm just chillin' by the curvature of the earth. WHA?
Matthew Ho and Asad Muhammad started working on their project in September. While you and I were spending our weekends playing Skyrim and watching eight hour marathons of The Walking Dead, they were planning, calculating and purchasing equipment for their Lego space adventure. They spent about 400 dollars on equipment and they even friggin' sewed the parachute that would bring Lego man safely back to earth. Hmmm...I wonder what will look better on a college application, completing 'Forbidden Legend' on master difficulty or amateur space exploration. Tough call.
Using a GPS device, Matthew and Asad were able to find Lego Man 75 miles from the launch point.
So the end result? Affixed to a helium weather balloon, Lego man traveled 85,000 feet or about 15 miles into the atmosphere. And the best part is they made a nifty little film of Lego man's adventure into space. The final frontier. Kind of makes me wish I didn't give up on Legos the minute my dog ate a crucial piece. I don't care how good you cleaned it, mom!

It's a video and last time I checked, videos don't have genders, so videos can't like men. Silly trollers. Also I'm not sure how it didn't burn up, maybe it's super camera. They also used a parachute when it was time for it to descend. Congratulations, Canada, for producing these awesome teens!

ahem, first of all, FAKE AND GAY! second of all, this is so unrealistic footage in the vid. third of all, if they insist its real, which its not, how did the get the footage back from a camera conected to a lego brick falling from the edge of the earths atmosphere. it would have burned completely on the way down AND break into dust when it hits the floor, no matter how much "helium" u used, and how did u make it land without a single break or crack? huh? oh because it sFAKE AND FRICKIN GAY!

because they didn't want to take sides and upset the large German population in America at the time. They only declared war in the last year. Canada fought since the beginning of WW1 and played an important part. In WW2 Canada fought long before the U.S. because they are loyal to the crown of England so they declared war almost instantly. It still took time for the U.S. to declare war

Why do people have to be so dam racist. All countries have something to be proud of. Canada has many achievements to be proud of, and so does the U.S. Yet I hate the fact that some Americans and Canadians take any chance they have to insult one another. Also, Honestly Griff how could Canada have been beaten by the U.S. before if you said they haven't been in any wars except ones against the French? Canada has been in many wars and fought alongside the U.S. In fact U.S. played little part in WWI

Hey, ago2831, canada has WAY more stuff to be proud of than the U.S., we invented bowling, the phone, the canada arm, the basic componints of the computer, justin bieber is canadian ( i know not really our best achievment, but he's really rich) we saved your asses three times in world war one, didn't have to slaughter and torture thounsands of people and deport hundreds of thousands more to become a country, and o'ya, we kick your ass in the war of 1812 (the only war we had with each other) and

Actually we have alot of acheivements in inventing military tactics, sports, appliances, medicine, ect. We dont boast crap we stole from other countries like americans.
